What's the Deal with Poetry

Some music to get you into the mood
Hello, and happy Saturday to those still observing the weekend. I just published a poem in The Daily Drunk involving a dream I had a while back. Somehow the show Seinfeld got involved, maybe I was watching reruns of it at the time.

First New Post in a While, Oh Wait

The Greek Silk Journal has published a poem of mine in their spring issue. It's a meta-poem I suppose, given its subject. I know here in New York City it may not feel seasonal yet, but maybe where you are primavera has begun to not just blossom, but flourish in the air.

Your Sunday Morning Shuffle (A Day Early)

New poem of mine in Twist and Twain, an outfit based in Assam. That's in Indian, folks. I know the subject describes a possible Sunday morning (for a possible, very hypothetical writer) and today is Saturday. But who really knows what day it is any more? Or month? Or year? Is it 2021 yet?

First is Not the Worst

New poems in the first edition of Flora Fiction.  Don't let the name fool you, there's plenty of poems in the journal. The second one is an older piece of work. I wrote it for a creative writing class at NYU. I don't remember what the specifics of the assignment were, but I used them to produced a work about the sights and sounds of Washington Square Park.
