The latest issue of Harpy Hybrid features a poem of mine A Critical Path to Forty. The genesis of the poem involved listening to the above YouTube show, which only lasted through the early part of quarantine. Maybe it will the longest lasting testament to its existence, these lines uncovered from a hard drive ten centuries in the future and leading cyborg lizard scholars to speculate on the nature of this dirtbag art show.
Hey all, Happy Thanksgiving. Read a short poems I wrote about petals in Issue 5 of Dollar Store Mag.
A blast from our recently hotter past. Paddler has generously published a poem of mine: "Late August News" in their latest issue (number 6), hot off the press in Peterborough, Canada
As some of you may know I am now studying for an MFA at Long Island University. Is studying the right word? I guess technically I'm a candidate. But not THE Candidate. That remains Robert Redford. Yes, the academic bug finally bit me. Who knows how far it will burrow inside. Classes have been good so far, lots of readings and such as you can imagine. I'm learning about the history of the novel and this little thing called "show don't tell." Oh damn. Did I just violate it? In one of my classes, Crossing Genres, we are exploring different forms of writing. One of our first lessons focused on flash fiction. I haven't written much of it, but since that class I've been trying out the form. It used to be easier for me to write 50,000 words than something restricted to a 1,000. Or at least to be proud of the result. Now I can say I'm making progress on this front. Or, show you with a link to one of the first prose pieces I've published in a while. It's called The Magic Palm and it's in the Bright Flash Literary Review. The picture below (not the one on the website) is what inspired it. For all you prose lovers out there, rejoice.
Thanks to Lover's Eye Press for publishing a poem of mine in their sex issue. I mean, sixth issue. The poem is titled: The Real King. Go for irrelevancy, the stay for the majesty.

A poem of mine is in the latest issue of Fresh Words, an "International Literary Magazine." Meanwhile another poem can be read at Green Ink Poetry.
Roi Fainéant has published four poems of mine. They involve memory, the internet, cooking, and surveys. The title of one of them "Currying Forms," is based off the title of one of the first ever English cookbook. The name of the publication is a reference the final kings of the Merovingian Dynasty in France (the last one is pictured getting a tonsure after being deposed). They were perceived as being weak and ineffectual, so much so that even the Pope said it was fine to get rid of them.
From Philip Twite is the name of the poem. The name of the author is Ben Nardolilli. The name of the journal it is published in is the Pine Cone Review. Hence the picture above.
A soul is for sale and a guilty party pleads in front of a judge in poems of mine published at Fresh Words. Meanwhile a man with a lease speaks over at the Fiery Scribe.

Apparently I've written it. A poem about urban development and renewal is up at Class Collective. It was inspired by my times catching the bus near the Javits Center. Good times, I mean, no, not good times. Hence the poem.

At least that's what I am going to assume with this next post. The journal Cantos, out of Missouri Baptist University, has published two poems from me. Flip through to page 18 to find them. The second one might be the first published poem about Newkirk Avenue, my home street. Who knows. I leave to the scholars to verify such history.

Yet, there is something different this time. The medium. Now in addition to reading, you can hear me reading, while you read along too!
