MungBeing Issue 56: Reflection

Come children, bask in the light of my poems!
MungBeing is winding down but not before I get a few more poems in it. The theme of issue 56 is Reflection. With a capital R.  I have four poems selected by editor Mark Givens. Go and read them.

When the Hard Meets the Moist

That would make a lovely titled for a volume of my poem, wouldn't it? "When the Hard Meets the Moist: Collected Poems by Ben Nardolilli 1979 - 2005." Or it could be the title of my Memoirs. "When the Hard Meets the Moist, Ben Nardolilli in Montclair, New Jersey." Either way, I'd have to clear the title with Walter Ruhlmann. His latest collection of poems from other authors (including me) is out.

MungBeing has three poems of mine about books. It's the theme of their latest issue.

DC Authors, Come Pitch Your Books!

On Wednesday, April 11, at 7 p.m at Politics and Prose in DC, my good friends The Book Doctors will be hosting Pitchapalooza, an event where authors can come and pitch their ideas about books and receive feedback from experts about how to put their passion into print.

In other news, I have an interview up at Dan O'Brien's blog. He published me in a collection from Empirical Magazine called Latitude on 2nd. I also have a mess of poems up at MungBeing based around the theme of Exploration.

Why Should the Aged Eagle Stretch its Wings?

There is an Oktoberfest for new poems by me online this week. Something for everybody, as long as they are literate. First, I have a poem up in Welcome to Wherever. Sleet Magazine has also decided they like my words and here's a link to some. Two sites have posted multiple poems of mine. MungBeing, which has been a generous, welcoming home for me, has four of my works, all of them dealing with the theme of costumes. You can read them here, in this place, at this site, and by clicking on this link. Last but not the least, Everyday Other Things has posted a series of poems I write in response to the picture posted on top of them.

In other news, I am putting my other blog on hiatus. The project's not going anywhere, beacuse well, I'm not going anywhere either.

Springtime and the Poetry Is in Bloom

Here are some fresh poems for you all to read. I guess they are my contribution to National Poetry Month. The first three are from The Rainbow Rose, with no theme in particular. The rest are in the latest issue of MungBeing, which is centered around the theme of family. Hence this poem, and this one, the poem over here, and the one next to it, and this poem slowly creeping up behind you. Also, the poem you just stepped on.
