Put the U in UCity Review, by Reading these Poems

A Ford Escape Hybrid and David Duchovny

The UCity Review, which is located in the shadow of Washington University in St. Louis, has published 11 poems of mine. They deal with a variety of topics that range from the TV show Californication, to horses, from kayaking on the Potomac to getting a dick drawn on your face.

On Comedy, Transportation, and Sundays

A brutally honest reply to an invitation to watch a friend's sketch show. Completely hypothetical. Thanks to Disturb the Universe

Who's that writin'? Ben the (Literary) Revelator

Literary Revelations has published two poems by me. They're under the giant portrait (taken by Christine Stoddard). If you can manage to look away from my visage, there's verse awaiting you on the bottom (don't attempt this with me in real life).

Working Title

Two Poems in Working Title. I don't know why the photo was posted with my verse, but it's pretty.

Man Versus Fridge

The epic battle of our times, presented in a short fiction form by me. Well, posted and hoisted onto the internet courtesy of Across the Margin. The origins of this story began with the Collected Letters of John Berryman. One of the entries is not a letter to Saul Bellow or a TMI correspondence with his son Paul, but rather an angry missive to the real estate company managing his apartment in NYC. I thought this might be an interesting kind of tale of woe to work with, and work with it I did. To results deemed satisfactory to Across the Margin. Read and enjoy. Then listen to the humming coming from your fridge.

Ponder these Poems at Ponder Savant

This one's a doozy, five poems at Ponder Savant. They were selected for the theme "Still Shining." It's collection involving Arlington's Columbia Pike, Ticker Tape parades, and Plato. Thanks to Mia Savant for posting them.

Happy Mother's Day

Now that I've got that out of the way, here's two poems for you all to read in the Trouvaille Review. The first is called A Pause After. The second is called Tendency Backstory. A little backstory to this backstory, I originally submitted this poems with the last line missing by mistake. It was accepted nevertheless. So I added the line, and it was accepted. I guess that means, in theory, I had three poems chosen by the review.

A Poem As It Ought to Be

A poem of mine is in the literary journal As It Ought To Be Magazine. It comes from my time as a paralegal dealing with clients from upstate New York. The name of the poem is "Large Bull Thistle" which is also what the name of Chenango County translates to.

Three Poems in Two Journals

Three poems to add to the collection of published works by yours truly. One is in Cacti Fur and is about a view in Harlem I haven't seen in nearly a year. Two more are in Local Nomad. The recent issue is themed around the concept of temp work and the precariat experience.

Call Me Brackets. Some years ago - never mind how long precisely, having little or no money...

I have two poems in the "Heroes" themed issue of Call Me [ ] (that's the way the title of the journal is structured that's why it's called Call Me Brackets in official correspondence, no, I won't explain it further). Not only that, there's an interview with me. So if you were wondering what the process is behind my writing, you can read about it!

Not to Be Confused with My Actual CV

Try to find the classical allusions in my poem "Preserved in Fragments"
Two poems of mine are in the publication Call Me [Brackets]. The first is called C.V.  but isn't actually my CV. Just to reiterate in case it messes with my SEO, it's just a poem, not a list of qualifications and accomplishments. The second is "Preserved in Fragments," and it requires no special warning.

A Coney Island Avenue Blogpost of the Mind

The King of the Dudes
Hello, there! Hello September! Hell Autumn! Hello (Hopefully coming soon) cold weather. Right now I'm sweating and dealing with prickly heat. But I've got two poems in Bye, Bye, Nite. One is called Coney Island Avenue. The other is called Anarcho-Dandyism (hence the pic above).

Rene Magritte, Empire of Light

Is the name of the painting featured above my poem at Vita Brevis. The poem is called Enclosures. It involves midnight shenanigans, moonlight, and refrigerators.

Call Me Mint Jelly, Because I'm on a Literary Heist (and the Lam)

A poem from a while back I forgot to post from Literary Heist. Probably one of the few things I've written about perfume.
