Not an Open Book, but an Open Leaf

A journal in India, sponsored by Open Leaf Press  has published a poem of mine in a journal of theirs, appropriately titled the Open Leaf Review. That's not the title of the poem (though maybe that's a way to get editors' attention in the future...name poems after their magazines) the poem is called Carrot and Writing Stick

Strategies for Sleeping (and More)

Happy end of November. I have two published materials to share with you all.  The first is a story called "Strategies of Sleeping." It is in the November issue of LitterateurRw. Go to page 69 (nice) to read it.

Also there's a poem, another poem, in the Eunoia Review, "In My Alchemy of the World."

Your Word of the Day Is Mehfil

A Mehfil is a festive gathering where people gather to perform music and poetry, often of a religious nature. They are commonly seen (or heard) in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. It is also the name of a journal that has published a poem of mine called "A Solid Theory."

Your Sunday Morning Shuffle (A Day Early)

New poem of mine in Twist and Twain, an outfit based in Assam. That's in Indian, folks. I know the subject describes a possible Sunday morning (for a possible, very hypothetical writer) and today is Saturday. But who really knows what day it is any more? Or month? Or year? Is it 2021 yet?

At Least It's an Ethos

Two poems of mine are in the latest issue of the Ethos Literary Journal, a publication out of India. Read them and read the other writers in the issue, perhaps during Thanksgiving in between courses and conversations.

Exhibit 1: a Pangolin
A poem of mine in the first issue of the Pangolin Review. Read it and ring it the new year.
